Outcomes
Multilingual activities
- Teachers got familiar with words connected to the activitiies, such as technical education jargon as well as local expressions, comparing to other countries' expressions.
Climate change activities
- Teachers discussed the environmental equilibrium challenges: the variables involved in the equilibrium that provide environmental conditions capable to sustain a significant population in an archipelago with very few permanent water courses and bodies.
- Teachers had the opportunity to observe and identify the endemic vegetation, the natural environment and its impact on the community.
- Teachers learned from the locales about the methods for population control of exotic species.
Awareness campaigns
- Pedagogical resources were created during a workshop on how an awareness campaign is organized and conducted through the creation of pedagogical resources.
- The teachers shared their impressions on the impact of biological pollution in the Azores, bringing their own perspective by discussing the problems and the proposing strategies to deal with it. This discussion will be compiled in a multilingual analysis that will be available to the public at the social media platforms of the mobility.
- The activities supported by ICT tools-Flipgrid, Padlet and others were used to collect, store, organize, record and disseminate data during the previous activities.
Cultural activities
- Teachers had the opportunity to go on a cultural tour of Angra do Heroísmo as a UNESCO historical site: the tour had much to offer as far as its historical and cultural background was concerned.
- The teachers learned about tradional manufacture: cheese and wine production. Its characteristics on both activities are deeply linked to the Azorean cultural outline. The activity allowed them to experience this setup and compare it with their homeland reality.
- Teachers experienced life in the past centuries in the Island through a thematic farm. Activities ranged from farming techniques to arts and crafts.
Workshop on the eTwinning platform
- Teachers learned how to work with the eTwinning platform, organized by the eTwinning ambassadors from the Azores.
- It was beneficial to show all the possibilies of the platform to inexperienced schools in order for them to implement the project better, use eTwinning daily and be eligible to apply for an eTwinning school label.
