Virtual mobility -organized by Finland
10th - 12th May 2021
We had an online mobility in May 2021 which was arranged by the Finnish team.
Each country participated in online meetings before the Finnish online mobility. Participant schools were informed about the coming mobility. We had some 40 to 60 people online during those days.
Our objectives for Finnish mobility were: Firstly, to introduce the termsustainability and the three pillars of sustainability, social, economic andenvironmental, to the students. Secondly, to focus on social sustainability and its applications in schools. Thirdly, to encourage students’ personal development, compassion and empathy towards themselves and their surroundings. These skills are considered to be at the heart of future learning and a requirement for a more sustainable future.
With this mobility we also wanted to share the idea that compassion and empathy form the seedbed for growing environmental awareness and future climate action.
During the week we created an Instagram-channel in order to disseminate our project: @erasmus_climateactionnow
In our online mobility we introduced the terms social, economic andenvironmental sustainability to the students and teachers of the participating schools. We also did team building exercises in small groups created from students of different countries. These groups of 12 were led by Finnish students. These activities included introductions, discussions and some creative movement which were shared together online.
